Somehow a very gentle film
I was entertained and a bit frustrated sometimes by the world and pretension and the politics of narrative and women like cut flowers who are trapped in men’s voices, who speak silently out of this prison with their eyes. The film felt effortless and weightless, something you could barely hold in your hand and I guess that’s classic Linklater
Men and the sea and salt and fire and wood and water and rain and snow and a single tear down the child’s face because the deer must die and he must hold it in his arms and be strong for his father for his brother this circle this endless repetition of dawn
