I love Kane Parsons’ Backrooms.
I know this film will be hotly debated since it has a large built in audience and existing lore from the YT series but who cares?
The film shows restraint, sustained tension, great performances, + brilliant practical sets utilized for maximum creep factor.
It feels invigorating to watch something so modern unfold, yet so deeply tied into the ancient fears of loneliness, unfinished dreams, corporate malfeasance, exploration + the dread of being mentally & physically lost.
Go in blind and I hope you find your way out.
