Miss Violence starts off shocking and dark, and it stays that way until the end. The movie takes its time to reveal its mystery, but the tension never fades, making for a nerve-wracking experience. The story and style reminded me of Haneke, especially The Seventh Continent.

Bonus points for keeping the runtime under two hours—a rarity these days.
