A historical epic that, true to the genre, features excellent production design, cinematography, and music. Despite a few good scenes, the not-particularly-gripping storyline induces a certain sense of boredom over the course of its nearly three-hour runtime, and the fight sequences are, for the most part, neither particularly gripping in their choreography nor their staging.

A film that works excellently even if you already know the twist, thanks to its creative direction (especially the cinematography), strong acting, and eerie, melancholic atmosphere.

Another excellent Pixar short film that manages to tell a beautiful little story about outsiders and group behavior without any dialogue, relying only on gestures and facial expressions.
