Cosmic Horror ☄️

The ultra fast-paced, hyper insane predecessor to The Substance, with madcap performances and hilariously awesome special effects. This movie is a treat (pun intended) from front to back and I can't believe it took me 40 years of life to finally watch it. I'll be revisiting this much sooner than later.

I'm working my way through all of the episodes in this set and may come back to thia review when I'm done.
My early impressions:
I think these two friends do a pretty decent job of telling a supernatural story obviously inspired by tue likes of David Lynch, the X-Files and various monster of the week films.
The sound is spotty at best and the acting is doooogshit, but its made up for by Ingenuityand creativity. Look forward to more.

A lot of really trippy visuals break up scenes of exposition and these are the most exciting parts. We get sexual deviance, swearing Hello…

It's fine. Sime okay modern horror acting, some head scratching needle drops, a bunch of family drama I couldn't be bothered to care about, but some exemplary over-the-top gore moments. Check out our final episode of MumMay on Bad Movies Worse People as we take a spoilery dive into this one. We should've called the month Mummy-movies-that-don't-really-have-mummies-but-kind-of-do Month.
