A great coming of age story queer that doesn’t suffer the pitfalls of either genre. It stays honest, but doesn’t sacrifice style or grit in favor of the typical platitudes of coming of age. It’s complicated, messy and doesn’t wrap up in a pretty bow because that’s not how the world works.

Giallo done right. Loved it.

What can’t I say about this movie? 

See it on a large screen. This movie felt so real. Amazing moments that you go to the movies to experience. Cinematography was perfect. Hair, makeup, wardrobe, set design- all perfect. 

Performances were air tight. Nobody missed. 

The story was vastly improved over the first movie, and I did like that movie. This one just had something more to latch onto. 

I fully expect this movie to win all the awards next awards season.
