Less scary more thrilling - felt like playing a really good horror video game in the way the main character discovered tools, spaces, problem solved etc!! Even the way horror was used was very video game coded

maybe relied a lil too much on cheap jump scares, but tension was super high thru the whole thing. I really enjoyed this honestly

I can see why everyone considered this a certified hood classic when it came out. Too many thoughts to unpack here, will have to come back to it

Honestly floored… that may be the most beautiful movie I’ve ever seen
