Movie starts, all is normal. The standard 8 production cards come up and here we go! A few thrills and chills that tbh kind of reminded me of the really messed up Parker Posey episode of Lou*e where she ensnares him with her charms and then tries to convince him her name is actually “Tape Recorder” (weird show weird…
If anything could get these boys off the banned list and onto the band list, it’s this incredible movie. Stunningly, dizzyingly, infuriatingly great. A miracle and a feat. If I was trying to sell this to someone who had never heard of the show or the web series I don’t know what I would say besides “it’s like if Wayne’s World was magic?”
Despite seeking out and loving everything these two have ever done I have missed EVERY single advanced…
i had a hunch this would be INCREDIBLE and instead it was just Very Good. Was it worth driving all the way to the Grove at 10am on a Sunday? Sure.
Also I know Dustin Hoffman is likely not even remotely a good person but he’s an incredible actor so I will feel weird when he dies but I’m not going to pretend I never liked him. You have my word.

Loved a scene stealing Lakeith Stanfield having the movie stolen back from him at every turn, literally dismissing him from the frame time and time again.
Half a star deducted for giving the world nightmares by introducing a new boogeyman: evil Chinese factory owner Pete Lee. Chilling to see all those workers tortured by him like he’s tortured me for years.
I hope my anxiety Katamari ball shrinks sometime soon 🙃.
