I’d say happy pride month but this was pretty fucking miserable.

Jokes aside, this resonated with me on another fucking level. Being queer and living in that queerness is such a beautiful thing, but the ugly world we live in makes it so easy to feel ashamed. Andrew Haigh perfectly understands that said shame is indeed foolish but not unfounded. It’s easy to feel ashamed about something that everyone tells you to, but it doesn’t mean you’re meant to feel…

One of the most explorative and scathing portrayals of modern suburbia I’ve ever seen. So earnestly brash in every way, so putridly funny throughout, so incredibly thorough in what it has to say. This script is one of the greatest ever written. There isn’t a single dull scene in this thing. The incredibly disturbed nature of its narrative will leave some detesting everything about it but its cynicism more than resonated with me. A tremendous picture.

The time travel in this movie is so brilliantly incoherent. I adore the way you’re jumping back and forth between thinking this guy is crazy and believing the reality of his mission, it’s so much fun. This one is greatly deserving of its cult status. A bit too many Dutch angles and some pacing issues bog it down a bit for me, but nonetheless I had a blast with this.

Loved whatever the fuck Brad Pitt was doing.

Some of the best production design that I’ve seen in a while. Everything about this looks stunning. Great performances from the two leads. I’d say it has a bit of hard time sticking the landing unfortunately but it’s so goddamn scary. I’m very pleased with how this turned out.

I’m sure I’ll be coming back to this place in the future.

Aside from that ugly fucking green baby, this is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen.

So nice to see a comic book movie that throughly understands its source material and has a respect for it. This world is so lived in, so colorful, so zany. I got sucked in immediately. Felt like watching an episode of Justice League: Unlimited.

Everyone here is so perfectly cast too, even the Kents are exceptional here. Gunn’s sensibility to skip Clark’s origin really…

Had to come back for round two.

This feels like the kind of thing people are gonna dissect for years. The tone of this thing is so sardonically cruel. This film dives into such a deep pit of hell. The performances here are so emotive and distinct. I will personally ensure an Oscar for Inde Navarrette next year.

This film is such a perfectly crafted nightmare. Not shying away from the terror that Nikki faces is why this works as…
