I LOVE movies about teachers and how amazing they are. Truly such a selfless occupation, I had an English teacher that also changed my life so I literally can’t get enough of this kind of thing. I’ve seen a few reviews saying this already but I adore how the film was not just set in the 70s but filmed as if it was filmed in the 70s - graininess, crossfades, needledrops, the works. Makes it feel instantly classic and familiar. Even Sessa’s performance felt so nostalgic, really encapsulating that Holden Caulfield vibe in, again, a really familiar way. Love!
“What’s an incubus doing on the stage anyway?” might be one of my favourite lines from any film
