i wouldn’t tbh, this could only happen to someone extremely bored
went to see this with no context, so consider this a completely unbiased review. the star wars franchise has followed the same trope for years: hero/anti-hero has to complete a mission, explosions, protagonist almost dies, then the side-kick or friend comes at the last minute to save the day. very disney coded, very cutesy. luckily, i love pedro pascal and grogu so it’s fine.
i like florida project much more. i wish they hadn’t written anora as such a naive girl, because i find it hard to believe a woman from BK whose been in the industry as long as her, would be so easily swayed by a boy such as him. i do think it’s a very nitty gritty character study and sometimes things really do just go horribly wrong and no one wins!
god bless her heart
If my dad was M Night Shyamalan I guess I’d take advantage of that by starring in one of the worst “thrillers” made this year as well, because at least I would have the creative liberty of forcing everyone to listen to my AI pop songs over the course of 2 hours to drown out the worst acting I could muster from my years of performance art classes!
