This movie was insaaaaane. (Tried writing this review 3 times so im kinda over it) but this movie gave me full body chills, its been a while since ive been shaken to the core like that. the use of shadows and effects, and the way that the scenes left you with heightened anxiety consistently throughout the movie. encapsulates the familiar relationship horrors of abuse and manipulative behaviors and patterns.

glad she was released in the end. Fuck that guy

very charged, loved the subtitles to communicate that they were having a mental conversation. very interesting twists and family issues.

well, def cried but tried to hold it together, figured out the relation bit early on but was still a beautiful way for them to find each other. loved the aquarium vibes and how the octopus was an escape artist fr. love that the romance wasnt super conventional and that the stories unfolded the way that they did. proof that having community is important and keeps us alive.

First time i watched this movie I enjoyed it but for some reason had a hard time separating it from a kids movie. when I watched it the second time I took that element away from it and honestly it made me appreciate it so much more, the message hit home and I was impressed with the execution of animation and singing, love the big cat and lil bird duo, they get me every time and wow its fun to try and see all of the different expressions based on your bias
