Anita is an entertaining film but definitely falls short of its Best Picture acclaim. The movie is repetitive, with excessive action overshadowing a thin storyline. Mikey Madison’s portrayal of Ani is commendable; her performance carries the film as she’s present in nearly every scene, justifying her Best Actress win. However, the film lacks depth, or at least it wasn’t apparent to me. It’s worth watching for entertainment, but like, you shouldn’t expect a Best Picture-level experience imo.
