this was stunning visually i felt like I was in a dream. the sets the costumes and the cinematography is really amazing. I haven’t read the book so i can’t speak on that but idk i loved this as a beautiful music video (charlixcx music is amazing) and a treat for the eyes…but i feel like one watch is enough. Didn’t feel as connected to the characters and their story as i felt i should considering how iconic this story is…still a bit unsure with this one.
Deeply uneasy after watching but wow what a fascinating subject.
i love dakota johnson but the acting x chemistry / lack there of was so disappointing. i like the idea of the matchmaking..but wish they could examine this with more depth and focus than being a loose subplot. i need to watch past lives now.
in general just wanted to like this more. it felt like there were kernels of good ideas but felt randomly placed in a rough draft. an okay watch.
