My. Fucking. Lord.
Go see this NOW. I don't have anything smart or insightful, can't really breathe all that great rn, go see it. Now.
Truly terrifying stuff. Sad part is the subjects of this are so one-dimensional that going a layer deeper to not make this a boring watch is impossible.
Pleasantly surprised.
I find it very endearing that Ronan has clearly seen and admires his father's work. There is a compelling story here, and I quite liked the surreal moments scattered towards the final act.
I do think it's the kind of movie that ultimately brings you away with more "this could've been better if" 's than "this was great" 's. The ending really, really comes up short, and I could understand it leaving people so unsatisfied it overshadows everything prior.
But come on? For his first at bat? We can't all be PTA..
