I don’t like anyone in this film. I think I’m the least upset with the two alcoholics exploited in the recordings, though. Strangely compelling film. I also wondered how the two men could afford to keep themselves housed & in liquor with no visible means of support -- clearly they were pensioners of some kind, but I suspect in today's San Francisco they would be homeless, which is a sad comment on how things have changed for the worse. The film doesn't touch on this aspect at all.
