A baffling film that regardless of anyone's view on the current geopolitical situation I can only characterize in good conscience as virulently russophobic.
Watch if you'd like to see a bunch of British actors expecting an oscar for nailing their Russian accent by saying byetr instead of better.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, The Movie.
Enjoyable as an action movie, but insanely problematic from a multitude of angles. Hans Zimmer was like "Somalia huh? Boy do I have a generic desert themed score for you!" and they just went with it.
Nobody in this movie is or even acts remotely Somali, in fact nobody except the Americans is really portrayed as human. Also they really went out of their way to show the soldiers taking the RoE seriously…
Absolute banger of a movie. Jesus Christ. Odin? Anyway, this isn't an original thought, but it's so cool how Eggers portrays people in history as perceiving the world around them completely differently than we do now. The whole thing felt like a fever dream, without any weird-for-weirdness'-sake tropes. These were real people doing real things, but they might as well be aliens to us, and that's an incredible thing to pull off as a director.
