This movie is corny, predictable, and the acting is all over the place. But damn man it's fun. And the wee kid is having so much fun. And the robots look quite impressive and to good scale. If this film was made in the 80s it would be hailed as a favourite by many and it would a spin off cartoon too.

Such a finely crafted film. I feel that in recent years cinema is sorely lacking hand made and hand painted props, sets, characters and costumes. Obviously Henson takes this all the way in the Dark Crystal puppetry, but the personality and beauty of this film shines through because of this hand made mastery.
Also can we give Age of Resistance another go Netflix? It was so good.
This is about as good as batman can get.
You can tell Reeves really wanted to make something beautiful with this. The casting is great too with every character being believable and placed well within the world.
Batman being a symbol for hope above a symbol of fear is brilliant and something that the Nolan trilogy (good as it was) sorely lacked. It's good to have protagonists who have arcs and reflect on themselves actually.

Despite the cinema release it just feels like a half decent student film but made by those students who don't edit anything down and think their writing is profound despite it lacking in nearly every respect.
Remember guys, a series of pretty looking shots doesn't make a film, it makes a slideshow.
The dad was alright in this film. I also liked the sound design. That was it. Pretentious, should've been like, 30 minutes.
