Adored this at the IMAX. A huge and gorgeous melodrama. Breathtaking in places, and funny.

Like the best middle films - TLJ, TTT, TESB - allows itself to be the bridge and takes some chances with tone and pace. I really loved it, Nia DaCosta brings her own style to the excellent script. It’s a shift from Danny Boyle’s broken Britain and the performances are terrific. For my money it’s a superior British film to many of this years nominees.
