Idk imagine some unfunny bullshit here
Freaky and ethereal but wayyy too much music. Constant classical and it’s a bit of Wanker-Scheiße.
Similar to Martin Mcdonagh’s other film ‘In bruges’, Banshees is a film where it feels like everything happens in lowercase but the themes and subtext certainly weigh on the shoulders. The film can be read as a absurd representation of the Irish civil war with the known presence of grudges held but the film, more broadly, is a personal story of where those feelings come from: longing for something that isn’t possible and how those feelings feed into either self destruction or a violent lashing out.
