Sorry guys, aside from all the usual Ghibli greatness I actually thought this fell pretttyyyyy flattttt. It felt extremely ham fisted which happens sometimes with Ghibli but it had little of the charm and Ashitaka doesn't even need to be in this movie. I think this movie could've used a more nuanced protagonist and antagonist. It felt like Ashitaka was an easy answer to a complex situation and never actually had to make a hard choice, and that can work…
