Before one is even born, they are already affected by the patriarchal system. Their quality of life is (somewhat) forever dependent on where they were born and the type of family they were born to - factors that one cannot pick.
It's always interesting to learn about different revolutions, from the overthrow of colonial powers to the fight for human/racial rights. However, in all those, there is always a recurring pattern where women hardly benefit after those successful revolutions. The concept of a woman being equal to a man, no matter the time in history, culture, or social/economic class, has somewhat always eluded society.
