I hate to leave less than 3 stars for a woman-run film, and it really had me in the first half, but all the French Canadian jokes couldn’t make up for the odd writing decisions, where it felt hard to follow Grace’s thought process and some of the best nuggets (female rage, her friendship with Madeline) felt discarded for the same scene with Chevy over and over again.
