Didn’t know I was walking into Ritchie’s tightest in a hot minute and one of my favs of the year so far 

This is a textbook ROMP 

Theater was mildly packed and the audience was into it. There were some decent laughs but it’s mostly the “nasal exhale” type of comedy with its fast witty-ish dialogue 

It has unfortunate shades of “cooler than it thinks it is” scattered throughout and especially at the start during its stylishly bloated exposition. But…

Can’t remember the last time I saw a movie so unengaged with its own material. It felt like the goal this time around was to make it as universally inoffensive and whelming as possible
