i had fun. but there were far too many subplots that didn’t quite get resolved and didn’t necessarily push the story along. the old guy’s voice was really distracting. stop making old people go to work

iris and maude were acting their asses off. also the scenes w melissa mccarthy/her son/the principal always make me laugh

i don’t care what anyone says i loved this movie. it had everything i want out of a christmas movie: action, fun, weird creatures, dwayne the rock johnson. i really thought this was so cute and that chris evans/the rock were such a funny pair. i also enjoyed how they made santa/christmas logistically make sense

i love the concept of being on a jury and after watching this think i would be really great at it. i think it’s a great portrayal of the varying levels of racial bias and racism, and just how each person approaches situations like this with their own preconceived notions and assumptions based on their personal lived experience. i especially liked the structure of the film where we get to see what makes every man change his mind
