The imagery is amazing and I was so happy to see these types of images on a big screen but oh my God the story SUCKS I would've been so much happier with 2 hours of creepy exploration rather than a horrible exposition dump with characters I don't care about that it turned into
Glad I rewatched it in a pitch black room with headphones for full immersion but Jesus Christ this is the scariest thing I’ve ever sat through. It’s somehow more terrifying a second time. I’m staying far away from this movie for a long while because while I love it I’m convinced it’s cursed. 10/10 I’m very VERY excited to see Kyle’s career develop.
Good things about this movie: Peele continues to show us his talent in his directing, creativity, and production. This movie looks and sounds amazing and has one of the coolest “alien ship” designs probably ever. The buildup and tension in the first 2/3rds are amazingly handled, with an especially horrific “feeding” scene that will stick with you. Some great jump scares.
