Oh this one absolutely became more uncomfortable to watch as it went on.
Not awful, I see how it won hearts but uhhh…yeah this is hard to watch as a trans woman even if I know it’s more a product of the time and not meant maliciously.
There is something rotten in American suburbia.
The outside look of nice homes with nuclear families gets exposed when a real satanic panic situation unfolds, and everyone crumbles. They realize their faults too late, they spiral into dark places, and/or they lash out at each other. There is this intense feeling of people desiring everything just go back to normal, this distrust of the other…you maintain your mask, and I’ll maintain mine.
