Perhaps I judged this movie too harshly. Other than the color grading, some of the throwaway human interactions, and a bit of an inconclusive ending, this ain't so bad. It has emotional weight, tangible stakes, a little bit of humor, good world building. I'm finding it hard to say what I hated about this.

Holy shit. I don't think I understood this movie completely at first, but after some thought, this is the perfect horror-comedy. It's puzzling, it's maddening, it's a riot, it's absurd. I could watch this over and over. Ash laughing at his own mutilation will live in my mind forever.

Pretty good, although a bit hokey, predictable. Just about every horror trope you can imagine. On the bright side, I'm officially Stuckmannized.
