Amy Goodman is like that of a modern folk hero or mythical figure akin to Hermes. Reaching across the world to deliver messages and words. Words of truth and the truth that is the lived experience of others. She's a remarkable person along with the team she's cultivated at Democracy Now. Some of her earlier work is highlighted, it's incredible and harrowing seeing the stories she's covered. But this is essential viewing. Steal this story, please!
Throughout this doc, director Daniel Roher has this anxiety for the future. And what it might look like for his son as AI advances. To be frank, I hope panic sets in for the next decade. The AI Doc: Or How I Became an Apocaloptimist entertains discussions with individuals who are actively causing harm to people around the world.

Kinda loved/hated this because it was a reminder of the line of work I'm in. The monotony of this felt like a continuation of the shift I left an hour prior, in which we had around 57 admissions for the day. This is only slightly heightened by the rainy atmosphere and the composure of each scene. I love the cinema. I hate a slow decay.
