had more impact to me upon rewatch but i still think it was a tad boring. makes for a good after-viewing discussion tho!

i guess when i first watched this, i had a preconceived notion of what to expect (as someone who have watched and enjoyed how to die young in manila) so when my expectations weren’t all met, it felt like the film was lacking. but now on a rewatch, i appreciated it more especially as a tale of queer belongingness on top of the angst and the romance. i still think the execution could be tighter but nonetheless, i do believe that this is an essential viewing for local queer cinema.
