It’s not what I expected but I love how Kubrick seeked realism rather than entertainment. Although some parts of the parris island are a little bit boring m I like it because it focuses on truly depicting the experience of a USMC. I also loved the dehumanisation process on all characters including Jojer. Overall, one of the best war movies in history.

This is peak cinema. Not only because of the wonderful cinematography or the emblematic soundtrack, but for the magnificent depiction of humanity. This film not only shows zombies, it also shows how a nation-wide ifection can also mentally affect the people of a country. I love the variety of feelings and desires that are portrayed in this movie. Overall, the acting is great.

Cosmic horror and found footage is a genre that needs to get more movies, because if well done, masterpieces like Cloverfield can be born.
This is by far one of the most distressing movies that I've ever seen. The disorientation and the fear that the main characters feel can be felt in every scene and the monster is just stunning and nightmarish. The acting here was splendid.
Together with [·REC] 1, Paranormal Activity and the Blair Witch Project, its a role model for realistic found footage movies.
