thunder, candelight, hidden doors, loaded guns, a haunted mansion, 7 ghosts, and 7 others now trapped inside.

House on Haunted Hill is Clue before Clue, Scooby-doo before Scooby-doo, a film that ticks all the classic boxes of a horror/mystery.

Uh oh contrarian alert!!!!

This just was not doing it for me like at all, I was enjoying it, then I wasn’t, then I enjoyed it again, then I stopped enjoying it.

Felt generic? I’m not sure what or how I feel but I know it isn’t much.

Highlights:

- Ryan Gosling
- Ron Perlman
- Motel Scene
- Soundtrack
- Cinematography

Filled to the brim with gorgeous practical effects, some of the funniest cat cgi / moments ever, and the best cactor (Cat Actor abbreviated) ever

However, the most horrific editing, dialogue, and story arcs I have maybe ever seen and that’s okay…
