I wanna be an artist.
Antonio Salieri wasn’t simply jealous of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, he was someone who truly understood greatness. He had such a remarkable artistic eye and could recognize real art instantly, almost obsessively. The way he listened to Mozart’s music and admired it so deeply made me love his character despite how envious he was.
What really moved me was that Salieri did not hate Mozart because he was talentless or mediocre himself. He just desperately wanted to create something as beautiful…
I wanted to cry so badly. I just loved this so much, especially the color aesthetic, oh my goddd, it was fucking marvelous. The warm colors, red, orange, and yellow, bestowed on me a really cozy feeling during my entire watching session. I would also be remiss not mentioning Scarlett Johansson’s voice acting. Her laugh is so fucking mesmerizing. I too got attached unironically, I don’t blame Theodore at all. This is no doubt one of the greatest pieces of media I have ever consumed. Just wow.
Memento really made me realize how sad anterograde memory loss actually is. I felt bad for Lenny the entire movie because of how easily people manipulated and made fun of him. The scene that hit me the most was when he literally saw people spit into his drink, then forgot about it a minute later and drank it anyway. That was honestly heartbreaking.
The ending plot twist fucked with my mind.
What also struck me was how the movie portrayed…
