The parts that ingrid bergman are part of are so extremely good that everything else is extremely dim in comparison ... i thought i was going to love this film in the beginning but i found a lot of the events pertaining to the war convoluted and confusing? And i felt it lost a lot of what was charming initially... namely ingrid bergman lol. Also the confusion could definitely just be my lack of knowledge on the subject

This was so purely heartbreaking. My chest ached and my stomach turned with every injustice unfolding on screen. I knew very little going into this, and so I am glad that the plot wasn't simply detailing how homophobia can affect straight women, which also means I was not prepared for the ending.
