- Still sad over Jerry, but it's comforting to know that he's at peace now. Next to the difficult breathing, he'd also gotten rather demented. He never wanted to sit in our laps anymore, never mewled for attention, he'd stare for hours at the wall, not showing a sign of "life". He'd basically became estranged and closed off.
- Thanks for all the wonderfully sweet comments you guys, I really appreciate it <3<3<3
- Work people still love me. I still love work. You know what I love the most? I'm appreciated. Everything I do is appreciated. I get compliments. I hardly was appreciated at my old job. Even though I did so fucking much, helping everyone out with their tasks, they rarely thanked me. And they never saw me as an equal. I always was the young helper. At Achmea I'm equal, not just to the other temps, but to all of the employees and managers even. They don't have a "Better Than Thou" attitude at all.
- Getting told that you basically did a few weeks' work on one freaking day, is really a fantastic confidence boost. I don't doubt my abilities so much anymore ever since I started working at Achmea.
- Holland U-21 lost 1-0 to England U-21. Horrible, appalling mistake by the goallie cost the younglings the game. The game was played at my club's stadium. First international game there <3<3
- Mini!Robin. Baby could've already been born or not. Sucks that Robin won't play tomorrow, but... mini!Robin. Knowing him and Bouchra though, it could be WEEKS before we'll hear about the baby. I mean, we'd only found out they were married three months after they'd tied the knot ;)
- Joris almost couldn't play either. Took a hit to his nose today, but it wasn't broken. Only crooked. Poor baby. Fucking MvB called up HEITINGA just in case though. Grr.
- Clarence Seedorf's likely to start tomorrow. After two years of not being called up, he's suddenly there and immediately playing. Even though he only knows the other lads and their style of play for two days. Okay Oranje's current style of play isn't that difficult. It's... non-existent? all over the place? *chuckles* Anyway, I think it's a fishy plan thought up by MvB. If Seedorf won't play well tomorrow - because he's not used to playing with the others - he'll say that Seedorf failed and then probably won't get called up again. Same happened to Edgar Davids last year.
- Dirk apparently did his ankle in, again. But he'll start tomorrow anyway. *rolls eyes*
- Oh and because I really like this:
Yesterday is history. Today is a dream. Tomorrow is an ambition.
Made a "promotion" after three days of work at this job. This doesn't mean more money, since I'm sadly a temp, so Achmea isn't paying me but my temp agency is, but it does mean a hell of a lot more responsibility.
Fucking love it. If I make a mistake, I screw a person over, seriously. PRESSURE.
Lmao, at least it keeps me sharp and focused on my tasks!
I'm getting even more responsibility on thursday. I rule. I was chosen out of 15 other temps. Hee. They envy me now.
Besides it's really nice hearing people tell you how PLEASED they are with you and how AMAZED they are at how quickly you pick up on things.... clearly I was floating a bit.
So I happily went home until I checked my phone....
AZ - my club - called me. For a job interview.
That freaked me out. And on the train home I was already dreading the dilemma of having to decide between Achmea and AZ... but once I got home and called the man back, he told me that the job had been downgraded from a fulltime job to a parttime one, so I was pretty relieved that I had to decline his offer.
Yeah it's a job at my club and all, but I can't work parttime hours. And right now I LOVE Achmea and if they're already pleased with me after only three days, I might just get a contract with them after three months. Fingers crossed.
Really nice AZ-man though. Said that should another (fulltime) job become available, I'll definitely have to respond again :)
Next week, on Nov 1st I'll start working for Achmea Insurrances!
Which means this is my last week at my current crappy job.... G'BYE SUCKERS!! Bwahaha.
This new job's only temporary, but I already knew that and I think it's good for me. To gain as much experience at different jobs in the next few years.
Last day of work. Last day of work. Last day of work!
Still have shit all to do and even if I did, I wouldn't have been able to concentrate anyway.
Did send out another job application only moments ago though. *pets self* It does get easier, sending them out.
AZ will be broadcasted on telly afterall! Totally made my morning. The Turks were asking a ridiculous amount of money for the broadcasting rights, but RTL7 managed to come to an agreement late last night. Yay. Now I won't have to wibble through a matchtracker, but get to wibble straight away in front of the tv. Even though I'll have to put up with Barbara Barend & Johan Derksen. Blah.
Haven't packed a thing yet. I'm a last minute packer to the extreme. And with footie being on all evening, it'll be very very last minute.
I hope the Hotel has all the right footie channels. Otherwise I'll be so deprived. *crossses fingers*
I am so bored. Barely have anything to do and I still got about five hours to go. Rah.
At times like these I really wish I could write.
I could post icons because I've already uploaded them to my PB account, but I have an amount that I don't like. You see, I always MUST post a "round" number of icons and right now I don't quite have that yet.
Marca can fuck off with their report saying that Ruud's about to sign for Real Madrid. *clings to him*
Zidane's press conference was rather whack. He's sorry, but then he's also not sorry for headbutting Materazzi. Contradicting much? And it really does not send out a clear message to the kids. "You shouldn't do violence kids, but it's completely justified when someone's insulting your family"... err, right.
And we'll never know what's truly been said, because Zidane said Materazzi insulted both his mother and sister, but then there's Materazzi claiming he did neither and especially not addressed to Zidane's mother because he lost his own mother at age 15 and is still an emo!kid about that.
One of them's lying, but we won't ever know which of the two, unless they'll do a joint statement or something. But I doubt it.
This just came in. Feyenoord definitely signed Henk Timmer from AZ. Crap. My goallie! *woes* We're stuck with Didulicia then.
Hey look, half an hour wasted with writing this rather pointless entry. Time for lunch, which means another half an hour that passes by easily! 4 to go.
