Public engagement

The University of Leicester was created by and for the people of Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland - founded both to serve its local communities and to stand as a living memorial to those who made sacrifices during the Great War. 

That shared history shaped who we are today. Working in partnership with our communities and using education as a force for good remains central to our mission. 

We work with communities, schools, businesses and cultural partners to share knowledge, inspire curiosity and create positive change.

We believe progress happens when we work together - and that together, we are stronger.
