Nicholas is sick. He cries when he tries to talk and his right eye is all gooky and gross. His right eye ALWAYS gets gooky and gross when he's sick. This year has been the worst as far as him getting sick, and I don't know why. I'm so tired I just want to collapse. I hate feeling like this. Nicholas and Caden are getting so excited to meet their new baby, it makes me happy. We're pretty sure it's a girl, and I think her name is going to be Asha. It means "hope".
Make yourself comfortable. Your daddy and I had a long, long, LONG talk tonight, which was actually yesterday night, because right now it's in what we grown folk call "the wee hours of the morning". We talked about what has went on in my life (which takes so long to explain, little one.) and what has happened in the past with your brothers and sister. I really do love you, baby, and your daddy loves you too. You have to promise that if we decide that the best place for you is in someone else's home, you will still love us with all the fervor with which we love you. Can you do that for me? I love you.
Nicholas and Caden are watching Madagascar. Nicky came here a little while ago to drop off some Christmas presents. I invited him in for dinner and Nicholas said to him "Mama's having a baby!" Nicky kind of looked at him sideways and then looked at me, and we had a talk in the bedroom. We came to absolutely no kind of conclusion, but he's staying here tonight. *sigh*
