There's a place in the dark where the animals go

WHO: Medusa and Willow
WHAT: A SHOWDOWN.
WHEN: After this
WHERE: In the halls
WARNING(S): Possibly gore, threats of animal abuse (no actual animal abuse), violence

Medusa had nothing against kittens. At least, nothing specific. They could be dirty and bothersome, but she could appreciate how good they were at manipulation. A sweet face that hid vicious teeth and claws. And in any case, it wasn't the kittens that were important. It was provoking a fellow inmate into violence.

Having finally gotten a rise out of someone who seemed perfectly happy to rip her throat out, Medusa felt a swell of satisfaction as she walked down the hall. She knew precisely where the kittens were, and she was in no hurry. If Willow was as defensive as she appeared to be Medusa might not even have to reach her room at all.

She was eager for the chance to test her abilities, and more importantly gauge the reactions to a fight of such laughable origins. Who would the barge side with? The woman who took a simple joke too far, but clearly had it coming? Or the vampire who had killed before, who took her just a little too seriously and was just a little too eager to jump to violence? Medusa didn't know enough about the population to be certain, and it would be an entertaining experiment.

To Willow, there was no "joke" about this fight; she'd made a threat - right on the heels of what seemed to be another; and considering the demonic world Willow had lived in, the stories Wanda had told her, and what violence she had seen...

She was taking this seriously; if she was going to keep her and her pet safe, she had to show her dominance here.

Stalking down the hallway (her kitten theoretically left behind in the room, but in reality stalking quietly behind her) - Willow growled lowly beneath her throat as she kept her eyes out for the threat; she was just starting to wonder whether it had all been some cruel joke when she caught sight of the woman.

Willow's heart didn't beat - but blood did pump through her veins; and the cold liquid seemed too quicken when she heard Medusa's taunt.

Growling, she moved into a defensive stance, ready to take on the woman.

She'd lived among vampires and demons; she'd been part of the Master's inner circle - one of the most feared vampire's all around. This wasn't her first fight - she knew how to recognize an intent like that.

Her face transformed as she took a step forward, keeping defensive, holding back the urge to launch herself - she had stayed alive by being cautious after all.

She circled, moving in the other direction as she slipped closer, relaxing her muscles as she mapped out the woman's veins in her head; a veritable buffet - one that was oh so tempting to bite into.

Focusing, she mapped the nerves out as well - drawing upon her knowledge of torture as she stared down Medusa.

A deep growl emerged from deep within her throat; she didn't step forward, but kept her muscles tense - ready to launch out into an attack.

Only one of the kittens were actually hers - and that one was (she thought) safely back in her room; in reality, Madame smudge's head was poking curiously around the corner, watching as Willow's hand flashed out at least - flashing for the neck.

Willow ducked back, her own hands moving quickly to try and deflect. It was fortunate for her that Drac had begun training her in how to use pressure points, back on Risa - she knew what Medusa was doing... If not exactly how to stop her.

Another growl, as her hand shot out, hoping grab the woman's leg - she was still unused to her reduced strength; still used to being able to throw a man with one hand; but with luck, even with reduced strength, she'd at least be able to give Medusa a good tug.

She tugged the woman's foot, growling as she attempted to avoid it and pull the woman's feet from under her in the same movement.

She threw the girl, watching her flip and shooting out her hand - aiming for the woman's side, the other slashing forward to hit a pressure point in Medusa's own shoulder.

She did her best to avoid the the hand - but got the kick, knocking her askew and putting her off guard.

She continued her attempts at blocking, hand lashing out at the same time; cautious at first, but then lashing out - trying to take the woman's arm out of place, even if it left Willow herself open.

Willow was driven back by the blow to the sensitive stomach - falling to the ground a moment, and instinctually rolling up - but only for a moment. Without any actual need to regain her breath, she was working her way back to her feet in a mater of moments.

She lashed out her own hand, taking a kick and trying to get a hit below the kneecap - anything to take this woman down; or at least distract her long enough for Willow to finish climbing to her feet. Too many kicks to the head could do even a vampire in.

She growled, shoving against the ground to hasten the journey to her feet - desperate to get away from Medusa's kicks, and to launch one of her own.

Inconvenient; but it was better than being left on the ground.

Moving slowly forward, she began to circle again, looking for an opening to strike.

"See your mouth moving," she whispered, lashing out at the woman's shoulder. "But I don't see any teeth."

She tried to twist, scared of what would happen if the woman hit - trying to turn the movement into a kick to the woman's jaw; if she wanted to swallow, she'd best unhinge.

"Not a turtle."

She stumbled but didn't fall, leg coming down from her kick to support her and flashing out for the woman's side - hoping to drive Medusa back if nothing else; a better use for a battered leg than anything else at the moment.

She stumbled again, struggling to keep herself upright, now, watching Medusa; if she fell again she wasn't sure she'd be able too get back to her feet; the girl would snap her leg and she'd be lost. She needed to take the woman down... quick. But for now, all she could do was share, and try not to show her pain as her body regenerated.

She moved to grab the woman, hoping to use her momentum and toss her to the ground. If her leg held out... if she managed to get a proper grip... if she was strong enough - too many ifs for her taste; but she wasn't going down easy.

Willow moved quickly, attempting to straddle her - to entertwine her legs with that of her opponent, and seize her arms. If she could dislocate the shoulders, she might be able to end the fight. If Medusa slipped like the snake she was from Willow's grasp...
unweeping_willow: (feeling smug)

[personal profile] unweeping_willow 2012-07-08 08:07 pm (UTC)(link)
She growled, flexing her legs - still intertwined with Medusa's - in the attempt to take down her legs as well as her arms. Medusa was not getting away.

"Stop... Hissing," she whispered, eyes locked on Medusa's neck; one bite and it would be over; so sweet a taste, and so quick a death - all the more tempting with Medusa wriggling beneath her like a wounded animal.

Instead, she twined her hand about the witch's hair, tugging back, and slamming the woman's head against the ground; again if needed.

Staring at Medusa a moment, making sure she truly was unconscious... she pulled her communicator out, and prepared for a post.
