There's a place in the dark where the animals go
WHO: Medusa and Willow
WHAT: A SHOWDOWN.
WHEN: After this
WHERE: In the halls
WARNING(S): Possibly gore, threats of animal abuse (no actual animal abuse), violence
Medusa had nothing against kittens. At least, nothing specific. They could be dirty and bothersome, but she could appreciate how good they were at manipulation. A sweet face that hid vicious teeth and claws. And in any case, it wasn't the kittens that were important. It was provoking a fellow inmate into violence.
Having finally gotten a rise out of someone who seemed perfectly happy to rip her throat out, Medusa felt a swell of satisfaction as she walked down the hall. She knew precisely where the kittens were, and she was in no hurry. If Willow was as defensive as she appeared to be Medusa might not even have to reach her room at all.
She was eager for the chance to test her abilities, and more importantly gauge the reactions to a fight of such laughable origins. Who would the barge side with? The woman who took a simple joke too far, but clearly had it coming? Or the vampire who had killed before, who took her just a little too seriously and was just a little too eager to jump to violence? Medusa didn't know enough about the population to be certain, and it would be an entertaining experiment.

She was taking this seriously; if she was going to keep her and her pet safe, she had to show her dominance here.
Stalking down the hallway (her kitten theoretically left behind in the room, but in reality stalking quietly behind her) - Willow growled lowly beneath her throat as she kept her eyes out for the threat; she was just starting to wonder whether it had all been some cruel joke when she caught sight of the woman.

"Here, kitty kitty," she called out, voice as sweet as honey. In her pockets her hands pointed straight like snakes' heads. Her pulse quickened with the thrill of coming battle.

Growling, she moved into a defensive stance, ready to take on the woman.

Her face transformed as she took a step forward, keeping defensive, holding back the urge to launch herself - she had stayed alive by being cautious after all.

Focusing, she mapped the nerves out as well - drawing upon her knowledge of torture as she stared down Medusa.

She licked her lips.

"Left the kids all alone, did you?" she asked, a quiet, predatory murmur.

"Not going to fight back? You'll never stop me that way," she called out mockingly.

"You're hardly even trying!"

Moving slowly forward, she began to circle again, looking for an opening to strike.

"You're pathetic," she accused as she circled around. "All bark and no bite. Or are you too afraid to put up a real fight?"

"I told you, I'll swallow you whole. I don't need any teeth for that, little turtle."
no subject
"Not a turtle."
no subject
"Prove it."

"If you think this is over," she warned, "then you're more naive than I thought."

Instead, she twined her hand about the witch's hair, tugging back, and slamming the woman's head against the ground; again if needed.
