Six am means that it's time for a lovely run in CES. Thankfully, the weather for this is nice, it's sunny but not hot as Martha ran over a wooded path. She slowed her stride, because her run is almost done.
[Howie was just coming into the CES, and gives the woods a cursory look, then spots Martha. Who was someone he was looking for anyway, so he doesn't run, but makes his way over instead,]
Martha had no idea that Severus had talked to Howie, so she didn't know what she was in for. When he called for her and made his way over, her stride slowed and she offered him a quick smile, despite being a bit out breath.
Freshly showered, Martha showed up at breakfast. Breakfast is normally the meal that Martha never skips, and she's balancing a bagel, a cup of coffee, some fruit and a glass of OJ before she dropped into an empty chair.
Sveta joined her quickly, deciding that she needed to spend some time with her friend, rather than anything else. "Morning, Martha." She had worked some that night and so had more coffee than usual, but she was planning on eating and then going to take a nap.
Martha grinned when Sveta sat down across from her, and she was glad to see her friend there. "Morning Sveta. How was the night shift?" Talking shop was normal, but the grin was real; Martha was pleased to see her friend and she wiggled a bit like a puppy.
Drake's in a bed, examining his nails. The nailpolish is chipped, but there's nothing in the infirmary that he can fix them with.
"Hey, can I go yet? I think I'll be fine now."
Sure, his neck still had the scabbed over wounds from the glass and razor that had cut it, and of course his head was still healing from hitting a doorway and being hit by a large painting and a mirror falling on it, the latter breaking when it did so, but other than knowing he looked terrible with his bruises and cuts, he figured he'd be okay. Besides, he had to see if he could cover some of this with make-up.
Martha looked at her patient with a deep frown, watching him as he watched his nails. "I've got some nail polish remover in the office if you'd like it, but Drake, I don't think you're quite ready to be out of here."
She nodded firmly for a moment and then looked to his neck. "How are you feeling?
After spending most of the previous night and all morning asleep, Rinzler is in a wary doze now.
Every time Martha happens to move anywhere close to his bed, or make a significant noise, the Program wakes all the way up and stares after her. O hai. What are you doing out there?
When Rinzler looked up at her with that same expression, Martha smiled quickly, and she placed her hand on his shoulder. "It's alright, Rinzler, you're safe in the infirmary. Do you need anything?"
Biff had made Loki slightly paranoid. There wasn't any reason why Reaver should have an STD. At least, Loki thought he didn't have one. However, being a god of mischief from a mythical land, he had no idea what an STD was. Asgardians simply didn't get them. But the Barge worked differently.
So that was why Loki was awkwardly standing near Martha. He was paranoid that he had an STD, despite not knowing what they were at all. "Martha my dear, can we...ah, can we talk in private? I may or may not have a problem."
Loki was seriously considering erasing his memory after this conversation.
Merlin nudges his way into the infirmary a little after ten; he's taking much more care than usual with the leather bag habitually slung over his shoulder. He sees Martha not snowed under with work and gives her a wave and a smile.
Martha knocked softly on Coyo's door. It had been a while since they'd talked about what happen, given the coma, the breach and the flood and Martha needed to fix this.
Coyolxauhqui was busy looking at the stars in her room. She was sprawled out of the floor, her hands resting on her stomach, her face the perfect picture of serenity. She was contented, but then again, seeing the stars always made her feel content. Happy. Calm.
She didn't even bother to lift her head off the floor when she heard the knock. "Who is it?"
Irving was still engaged in what amounted to the most direct (if tiresome) method of learning the future he had ever attempted. He would have truly appreciated his time ship back now. Spotting Martha, he smiled. "Seeking out new worlds?"
Trip was sitting by himself with a PADD and his own plate of pasta, moving some of it around on his plate with his fork absently while reading an old article he'd found stored on this particular PADD after sorting through his collection of technical journals with Tim. He spotted Martha out of the corner of his eye, looked up and immediately grinned at his friend.
Usually, Iroh leaves people to their own devices on deck - it seems to be the locale of choice for quiet contemplation, after all - but today is clearly not a usual day. He stops at the side a few feet away from her, fingers weaving together on the railing.
Tonight's movie: Little Miss Sunshine. There' freshly made popcorn and soda and tea waiting in the second level common room. The one that's not missing a couch.
Elphaba stood in the doorway for a bit, scowling at the screen. After a few minutes, she spoke. "I don't like the look of that girl. She seems like the type to fling buckets of water around."
Door open or not, Armand didn't think he'd be who she was expecting, so he knocked on the frame, and promised himself he wouldn't take up too much of her time. "Martha, do you have a moment?" He hoped she wasn't too tired or in a terrible mood. He didn't want to upset or worry her yet again.
