BOTHERING
She brought a book with her, of course, but the cover was deceiving. Naturally, it was in Russian, but it was also covering up the fact that she was really reading a very bad romance novel. So, when the cover blew off, she ran after it, almost knocking into a boy with a football.
"Sorry!" she gasped as she bent down to pick it up.

ALSO BOTHERING
Some guy looked like he was about to step on it.
"Watch out!" Temperance dashed up and finally managed to grab the snake before any harm could befall it.

This was an experiment to him, though. How many people could he get to like him? What things did he have to say to make it happen? In his head, he knew exactly what he should be saying, but it was never quite as perfect as he imagined. Popularity had never mattered very much to him, but he knew, someday, he would have to learn to deal with other people. This would be good practice.
So he stepped a little bit closer, examining the crowd and looking for either someone he knew or someone who looked as entirely bored as he felt.

And then he spotted Adrian. Good gods was that man a priss. Who wore clothes like that to a summer camp? It was completely ridiculous. Loki had the urge to just push the man in a lake, just to ruin his clothes.
...wait a second.
Walking up to Adrian, Loki smiled the nicest smile he can muster. "Having fun?"

She took a deep breath and then froze for a moment before she grinned. It was easy for her to do so, because grinning was her default expression. The hand not holding her towel was extended to the boy who was dressed so nicely. Oh, that was going to be bad. Really, the difference between kids in London and kids in America couldn't be so different that someone wasn't going to end up shoving him into the water in some fashion.
"Hi," she said quickly. "I'm Martha."

Shirtless and holding his Peterson tube (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Gurtretter.jpg), Adam looked around the lake. At the moment...well, there wasn't anyone in the lake but there were already people going around it. Spotting Judas just standing there confused, Adam walked over to him. "You alright there kid?" Already he had forgotten Judas's name. In his defense, Judas didn't do much talking.
Yes, the lifeguard is British. Don't ask why.

Also, she was completely aware of her attractiveness and didn't at all mind showing that off.
Unfortunately, she didn't look past that tree before running around it, and thwack--ran right into Uhura.
"Sorry, sorry! I should have been watching where I was going," she smiled sheepishly at her fellow counselor.

With that loud cry, Edgar, who was clad in black swim trunks with little purple bats all over them, did a cannonball, complete with a large splash, into the lake.

He stayed by the water's edge and watched that kid flip into the water, then called out to him, "Nice trunks!"

He frowns at Rex's abundance of clothes. "You planning a strip-tease? Or do you really look that bad under those layers?"

The Cuckoos set up their lounge chairs not in perfect sync, but still close enough to be pretty creepy. They each scanned the growing crowd of campers, trying to find someone worthy t occupy their time with, but. Sadly. So few met their standards. Sitting gracefully down (because proper girls do not plot), they began rubbing sunscreen on each other, giggling from time to time as they whispered to each other. Yes, they're very much aware of the image they're projecting and... Well. They're seventeen year old alpha girls. What do you expect.

But, damn, it was hot, and he secretly wished he had gotten a haircut before arriving. Tightening the scrap of cloth he used to hold his hair back, he plopped down cross-legged onto the banks.

She had chosen a spot rather out of the way, but only because she didn't want to get trampled by feet or hit with a ball. Instead, she preferred to lounge about, hoping no one would need her for anything.
She had chosen her blue bikini for this excursion, as really- who was going to protest it? She did plan on swimming...eventually.
Feeling something move past her hand, Rose sat up quickly, looking over to see the snake that had been moving along. It was of the harmless variety and she reached over to pick it up.
