Port: Up the Airy Mountain
Who: The Cat King and OPEN
What: Up the Airy Mountain port
When: All port
Where: Town, forest, and fairy market
Warnings: CK being a dick, TBA
The Cat King is no stranger to the fae, and the woods outside this town stinks of them. He feels safe. He knows the rules, knows the way these creatures think and behave, so he's content to trot around town, lounging with the local strays to hear the gossip and rumors. He puts the fear of Bast into a few particularly ornery locals who've been giving the strays a hard time. Spooks a few others just for the heck of it with his magic cat routine, though not so many that he can't lounge nearby during storytelling, absorbing every word.
It feels good. Natural. What he's made for. But nighttime is when the fun begins.
He knows many of his fellow passengers haven't the first clue how to handle the fae, so he's eager to watch the show. Often as a cat, sometimes as a human, he mingles with the crowds and watches the bartering with an amused smile. Occasionally he'll offer a word of encouragement to someone unsure if they want to pay the cost.
Rarely, to only a very few people, he'll offer a warning. Even a swat of his paw or a stomp on their foot if he needs to stop them right now from doing something stupid. He doesn't care if most of you wind up forgetting who you are or cursed with animal body parts, but he will not let his people take a bad deal if he can help it.

He glances over at the cat he's seen around the Barge before. Maybe he'll help a little?

Night Market!
When CK runs across him, he's staring down some faerie shopkeep with his arms folded, exasperated and clearly nearing wit's end.
"So...you can't just name a specific price that's something normal? Like...a physical object I could actually trade you? What is with this place?"
Re: Night Market!
"Why? What's wrong with his prices?"
Re: Night Market!
"They make no sense. How am I supposed to pay with 'the last color that made me cry'? That's never even happened."
That he remembers, anyway. Or that he recognizes as a color having anything to do with it.

Re: Night Market!
He may be unfamiliar with the fae, but he's familiar with Shinra contracts and fine print, at least.

"Perfectly fine. I'm sure there will be plenty of entertainment." Plenty of stupid people trying to barter with fae without knowing what they're getting into, he means.

Normal cats shouldn't taste beer, of course, but it's only polite to offer a Cat King his choice.

"I hope we do. I could use the entertainment."

"One or two is entertaining, too many is just chaotic. These things need a sense of proper dramatic escalation, don't you think?"
