Act 2; Scene 2
Who: Iago, ft: Gojyo, David, Gemini, and Matt + anyone who wants to stop or watch a fight
Where: All over the Barge
When: Mid-May
Warnings: Probably violence/manipulation
He almost looks over his shoulder, expecting to find Saga there. But she's not here. She left him alone.
When the cat's away...and so forth.
He spends three days finding his victims, then wastes no time to hurry to them, one at a time.
"It's you. Shouldn't you be - "
And he trails off, looking confused.

The familiarity and urgency throws David off. His first thought is once again that he missed something, or forgot something, then that shapeless annoyance at his own mind.
"Shouldn't I be?" The prompting is almost over-patient.

He swears under his breath.

And what was it she'd said about Iago? One of the lessons he'll need to learn is that he can't be anyone's whole world, or something like that. There's something off in the way that statement aligns with Iago's attitude now, but David doesn't know what it is, and frankly doesn't trust himself enough to believe the instinct. He probably feels some kind of way about Iago existing, just like he assumed Iago would feel about him.
"She's home." It's different for wardens. He reminds himself of that doggedly. Maybe she'd pop back into place like a dislocated shoulder given time. He had. (A bitter thought, not a hopeful one.)

"Yes, home and safe," he says, almost as if reassuring himself. "Forgive me, I - must seem like a fool standing here. It's only - I've come from the Lounge and I overheard heard someone talking about her. About how she left. How she didn't want to be here because of, well," he clenches his jaw. "Because of us. I didn't want to jeopardize my position, so I didn't - say a word."

His tone doesn't waver an iota.
"Huh. Interesting perspective. Who was it?"

"Shouldn't I be what? Who the hell are you?"

Iago looks up. "You are the newest one here, are you not? The one who - just recently arrived? Pardon my rudeness, but I wanted to - warn you. Being here is not an easy transition, but it is made worse with others making it difficult in the shadows," he grumbles.

Iago shakes his head. "Tall man. Thin, with long red hair and eyes that glow red like the devil. I cannot utter the foul and terribly brutish phrases he said about you, but - please. Take care when around him. He is no gentleman."

Later~
He's delighted to find her still there. He approaches her with a confident laziness to his gait, hands in his pockets, and very obviously giving her a once-over. Hurr cleavage hurr skin-tight suit.
"Hey. You're Gemini, right? Fancy running into you here."
Gojyo's eyes don't glow, but they are obviously a deep crimson red, as is his long hair.

It's been too long since she last killed someone and now she's definitely in the mood. She almost reaches out from instinct, wanting to elongate her arm, wrap it around him and smash him into the bookcases however many times it takes to break every bone in his body. But the Admiral's denied her that luxury with his check on her powers, so instead she gives him a sultry smile to draw him closer.
"Fancy that." She purrs in response, leaning her head back slightly and tossing her hair, her hand tapping the table beside her invitingly.

Well, now he's curious, and still a bit confused.

"Of course," Iago says, laughing. "You're the one they've been talking about, aren't you?"
no subject
"All the girls on board talking 'bout how I'm the handsomest guy on board, or what?"
no subject
Iago smiles, looking over the railing. "Not all. The newest one though."

for david~
He puts on a slight smile.
"Just the man I was looking for. Do you have a moment?"
eheheh
So he doesn't wait for that. He takes a half-step to balance himself and throws the first punch.
no subject
Well. Later, he'll recognize he's been on edge since coming home from living through the next six years of his life, the feeling amplified by Jesse's sudden departure. But the feeling of David's fist makes something in him snap, and he's throwing back a second punch, followed by a quick attempt to sink an uppercut into David's torso with his other hand.

Instead David tries to grab the man's wrist before Matt can withdraw, with the intent to break one of Matt's available weapons.
