Who: Kahl and OPEN
Where: anywhere with public access!
When: 8/7-8/8ish
Warnings: none for now!
Obtrusive
There you are, minding your own business, in the stairway or on deck or in the library - almost anywhere publicly accessible on the barge - when a lanky teenage boy (?) with garish red hair and vaguely fantasy clothes, his chest soaked in blood, pops into existence a few feet away with a rush of air, and hisses like an annoyed cat.
Obscure
You get that feeling of being watched - prickles on the back of your neck. Despite his lurid hair and outlandish clothes, with the blood cleaned off and holding still instead of pulling himself through space, Kahl has a preternatural talent for skulking, for picking an out of the way spot and remaining very quiet for a very long time, watching people come and go with bright green almond shaped eyes that only sometimes have slit cat's pupils.
Oblivious
For the supervisors in the Infirmary, there's a small surprise whenever they arrive at work: the name Kahl has appeared on their rosters overnight, as an inmate assistant worker. Kahl himself, whoever he may be, is nowhere to be found.
[OOC: I am completely fine with any or all of the Infirmary wardens firing Kahl, but he was working there when he was dropped last time, and I think it's funny if the barge remembers more than he does!]
[NOTE 2: Specialty Perms Post Here for his weird vengeance-sensing powers. He won't have any detailed knowledge, just have a faint sense of emotional resonances.]

Oblivious/Obtrusive
So instead, he's going to wander around and look for them. He'll stop others and ask for someone by the name of Kahl, and move on if they don't know where or even who he is. By chance, though, he does happen to run into Kahl while he's teleporting, and though Hythlodaeus seems wholly unperturbed by the sudden appearance of somebody in front of him, he does blink at the blood.
"Do you need medical assistance?"
Re: Oblivious/Obtrusive
"No?" He sounds confused to have been asked the question.

He looks pointedly at the blood on Kahl's chest.
"Or is everything fine, so to speak?"
He supposes the fact that the guy seems confused answers the question well enough, but he may as well make sure. He has a duty to heal others now, after all!

"Do you need healing?" he asks, with no indication of surprise.
Re: Obtrusive
He knows that's what happened. He couldn't be what he is and not know, and only death could have allowed the Maelstrom mask to be ripped from him. How he's here, and functioning, he does not know.

Kahl doesn't say anything, and he doesn't leave either. But if Rawne does turn, he won't pop away.

Obscure
Una bends down to peer into the koi pond on the deck garden and watches the fish glide around for a little while. The sensation of being watched has been prickling at the back of her neck since she came into the garden, but she's decided to wait and see if the watcher will reveal themselves first.
Finally she says, "Hello, whoever you are. I don't bite."
Re: Obscure
Re: Obscure
She straightens up and looks in the direction of the brush.
"Generally I prefer not to be bitten," she says dryly. "I also prefer to talk face to face whenever possible."

Obtrusive (library)
Avalon knows the smell of blood anywhere. They push the book they are shelving into place and follow the scent around the shelf.
The boy’s blood-soaked chest reminds them of how their Breach self had seen death as beautiful. They approach him. “I can show you to the infirmary if you need it.”
Re: Obtrusive (library)
He's dead, not wounded.

“Whose blood is it.” Their voice is completely flat. They have no sympathy for him or anyone else, but the blood came from somewhere.

Still, odd similarities aside, it's the blood that catches his attention most.
"Has that been seen to?"
He is not offering his own assistance. He is no healer. But he knows well enough that being all but soaked with blood is not good for anyway.
Re: Obtrusive
"It has been finished."
He hops onto the railing and crouches there, like a cat or a gargoyle, contemplative and still.

Oblivious
And when there's a lack of results on that end, after his shift ends he's going to spend the night patrolling the Barge with Flapjack, seeing if there was anyone he didn't recognise around that could possibly be a match to the name.
