Tiny Bat Log
Who: Nadja, OTA
When: After her hissy fit on Anita's post
Where: All over!
What: Nadja goes bat rather than be tempted to rip people apart for the week
Nadja is 700 years old! She doesn't need to be scolded like some child, in public, by a vampire in defense of a vampire hunter!
Doubting that if she sticks around she will say anything productive or kind, she shuts off her communicator, resists the urge to hurl it against the wall...and transforms into a bat.
Bats do not have the same problems human-forms do, and she can relax and take flight, albeit one that's janky and less magical than she would have liked.
She mostly flies to her husband's shoulder, but when she's not with Laszlo, she can be found roosting in the common, open areas of the ship. The laws of invitation prevent her from going into cabins, but she can be found lurking in the eves of the library and even the elevator shafts where repair work is set to take place.

He drops his flashlight and does a pretty good job of nearly toppling off his ladder.

Get out! She's brooding!
no subject
Pretty fucking fast, it turns out. He is not paid enough for this bullshit.

He blinks a little, but is otherwise unperturbed. "Hello, my darling."
no subject
An inquisitive chirp. What is it you're working on?

"This, my love, is going to be a giant penis since my co-worker hates vulvas so much. A Tribute To Larry, I shall call it, which is fitting with him being a colossal dickhead and all."
no subject
At least she'll be in close proximity if any fucking arseholes come looking to harm her husband.
no subject
And he has an idea!
"When I'm finished with this, how about if you and I indulge in some sexual intercourse of the Scrotifera Chiroptera variety, hm?" Bat sex in other words, wink wink.

[library]
She looks up when she hears the tiny bat noise, and when she sees who it is, she blows Nadja a kiss.

It's the first time Iris has seen Nadja batformed, and she burns with curiosity and tenderness.

"That's the most adorable thing I've seen all year. I don't often get to feel this big and strong."

Regardless, he prepared something in case he happened to see a bat again. He quietly disappears and re-emerges with something for bats to roost on. Bats need a safe place to perch. Perhaps putting roosts up around The Barge would be a good idea?
But it's best to ask the bat first. Connor holds it out for them to examine. "What's your opinion?"
no subject
She peers at him, deciding, before flapping down to nest atop the little perch he offers.
no subject
Connor explains: "These are specifically for bats. If I hang them around The Barge, you could perch anywhere safely."
no subject
Are you seriously trying to get her to answer questions as a bat? Nadja snuffles her nose and tucks her head under her wing.
no subject
He touches her nose with a finger. "Do you like it?"
