Who: Laszlo and Anyone who hangs out in the Greenhouse
Where: the Greenhouse, up a tree specifically
When: arrival!
Warnings: probably none
One moment he was sitting (rather unwillingly) on the stage of the Nouveau Théâtre des Vampires along with his wife and his roommates, manacled to a silver chair, waiting to be decapitated, and then the next moment he's... stuck up a tree? And still manacled to the chair, which is awkward to say the least, balancing on a branch as he is. And it's apparently daylight? Yet he's not fried to a crisp, how odd.
"Er... Nadja?" he calls out tentatively, followed after a few moments by- "Nandor? Colin Robinson?" And then- "Anyone?" A pause. "Anyone except Vladislav, that is." The last thing he needs is that wanker, obviously.
"I say, a little assistance please?"

Fuckssake.
"You, uh, new? You know Nadja?"

"Hey Misty, what's...up...."
BJ trails off. Looking up the tree.
And bursts out into mean-sounding laughter.
no subject
"Why yes, I-" He breaks off, frowning at the rudeness. "Now that's uncalled for."
no subject
"Easy, you. Doubt he did this on purpose."
And then to Laszlo, "Just show up, or did someone here do that?"

"Actually, I haven't a clue where 'here' is, so that's a bit hard to answer, I'm afraid," he finally replies, attempting to be both nonchalant and apologetic, but not entirely convincing, considering his precarious and perplexing situation.

This would be so much easier were the place empty. Rubbing her neck, Misty shoots Betelgeuse a glance.
"You wanna run for a ladder, or who's giving who the boost?"

"WOOOOW, THIS IS NEW."

Not that he actually knows that much about birds, being a creature of the night and all.

As weird as Bill is, the distraction has been nice for a few seconds. Back to reality, fuck.
"Now, there's the mystery," he agrees, peering down with a tiny bit of trepidation.

Bill examines the chair, tree, the new guy -
"DID THE CHAIR COME WITH YOU?"
no subject
"Yes, as a matter of fact. More's the pity." Considering he can't get out of it by himself, not even through turning into a bat.

Fortunately, the greenhouse is a public space and he can walk right in; it doesn't take long to search out the source of the yelling. "Uh. You - yeah. Give me a minute."
He can, after all, climb trees pretty well. So, here he comes.

Well now, isn't this a tasty-looking specimen of a human, is the first thought that crosses Laszlo's mind as he watches the man climb up, before chiding himself. There's a time and a place, really. this probably isn't it.

"While you do appear to be quite the strapping young man, I'm rather doubting you can climb down the tree carrying me and the chair."
However, it's not as though he'd be seriously injured if he did fall; it's just awkward.
let me know if you need to me to backtrack any actions, here
"Technically, strapping old man, but if you think we can do this the other way around..."
He considers a moment, then hefts himself up a little higher, so he can brace himself against the trunk with one leg and hook the other around one of the legs of Laszlo's chair, tilting it carefully so now it's both balanced over the branch and propped against Steve's thigh.
Then, at least, he just reaches across and, starting with the hand farthest from him, rips whatever manacle is holding the guy down like it was tissue paper. And makes a grab for that same arm, so the guy doesn't fall if he gets startled.

She blows open the door with a wave of her hand to enter it and quickly locks it behind them, fretting over her husband and yet a little suspicious...
"How are you here, Laszlo darling?" Her tone is pleading but with icy suspicion at the end of it.
no subject
"I'm damned if I know, my love. One minute I'm at the Nouveau Théâtre des Vampires, a captive of the Vampiric Council once again, and the next second I'm here. The bigger question in my mind, is how are you here, obviously unfettered, considering you were a captive as well."
There's a pause as he glances around him, his eyebrows lifting in surprise. "Are we now back in our house in Staten Island?" This is turning into a bloody weird fucking night, he must say.
no subject
"No, it is only a very good replica, but that's not important right now."
Her hands fret with each other, turning over and over nervously. She had been a captive as well?
"Laszlo, I have no memory of ever going to the Theatre. We were all trapped in that fucking well together, then just as the sun was about to destroy us, this voice spoke to me. I made a devil's arrangement to come here in order to save us."
A pause.
"And also Nandor, but I wasn't very picky on his terms."
no subject
But yes, moving on.
"The well?" he repeats, his face creasing in puzzlement. "It's been an entire year since then, my darling. And you were with me every day of it!" Aside from when he was in Pennsylvania being Jackie Daytona, but that's not important at the moment.
"A devil's arrangement, you say? So this admiral chap—he's the devil?"
Alright, this is starting to make sense.
no subject
The impact of what Laszlo's saying makes her lean back, stunned. "How could it have been an entire year? I am only here because I was trying to save us all!"
Nadja pauses, and asks suspiciously;
"All right. How did we escape the well if this Admiral did not help us to climb out of it?"
no subject
"And obviously you accomplished it, my darling, as apparently I'm from your future! It did seem a bit odd that Colin Robinson would show up with an umbrella and save us after having been part of the Council which condemned us in the first place. Clearly this admiral intervened, using Colin Robinson as a pawn!"
