Log; ongoing
Who: Hostages, Rioters; Closed
Where: The Dining Hall (and Kitchen)
When: Monday Evening, after the kidnappings and before the stand off with the Wardens
Warnings: None; will be updated as necessary.
The air was thick with tension as the Inmates were preparing to make the announcement to the other Wardens. For now, the violence of the day was on hold; there was no need for it now that the hostages had been gathered. There were enough to line up in a row, an effective human shield to keep the Wardens at bay so that negotiations could be made. If all went according to plan, they could even come to an agreement without further violence-- unlikely, of course, considering the Inmates' tendency to backstab.
While the Inmates-- some of whom were now armed with guns-- milled about, the hostages were sat on the floor in the dining hall, as far from any exit as possible. All-- with the exception of one, who'd been tortured and drugged-- were restrained in some fashion. All were without their journals and their items. There wasn't any hope for escape yet.
[OOC: SOME FOLKS REQUESTED IT, SO HERE IT IS: The pre-stand off thread, for hostages and inmates to talk, yell at each other, etc. If you want your character to have a more one-on-one experience, start a new thread line with character names in the subject; otherwise, everything goes under the main thread.]

THIS IS THE MAIN THREAD (West is not in it yet sorry lol)

Billy felt himself tense and untense over and over as he stood there, waiting for the rest of the inmates to get to them, waiting for West to come and get this rolling. It was going to be a revolution, and people died after revolutions. People like the Master. Deep breath. Not yet. For now, he just had to stay calm, and wait.

"Billy, things are about ready, so--" He stopped, somebody catching his eye. "What is she doing here?"
He didn't need to specify who it was. First Rose, and now this?

Libby, Barney and later Drusilla (will post in main thread too, as needed)
Once in a while, she muttered something aloud to someone. The people addressed weren't always in the dining hall; some weren't even on the Barge. Things were said to West and Billy, the Master and Sam; Bobby and Drusilla; Hurley, Jack, Claire and Ana-Lucia. And Michael, of course.
She'd ceased to notice exactly what was happening around her. She was only waiting to die.
Re: Libby, Barney and later Drusilla (will post in main thread too, as needed)
...
Okay, Barney had to suppress a giggle at that thought. It was pretty easy to do, though, once he thought about the dining hall and all the hostages. He sorta knew this was going to happen-- that is, it wasn't a huge secret that this was the plan from the get-go, but somehow, he kind of figured it wouldn't really be a big deal. He thought the Inmates weren't really planning on rioting and... well, being the coward that he was, figured siding with them would have ensured the least potential for pain and suffering, while earning him cool points with his peers.
Plus, the prospect of a freeze ray? Legendary. Running around with that thing could've put any game of laser tag to SHAME.
But now, he was beginning to have his doubts. There was talk of some people dying already (and he really liked that Prefect guy and his patriotic devotion to capitalism), and the hostages... they didn't really look too hot-- well, okay, some of them looked pretty hot, like that British chick (man, she had an accent that could make his--)... anyway. Things had taken a decided turn for the "terrifying and crazy."
Why why WHY did he have to side with these lunatics out of some freakish sense of solidarity?! He had nothing in common with these people! He wasn't some superpowered alien, or a supervillain, or like... Ming the Merciless, or anything. He was Barney freaking Stinson, a world-class lover-slash-adventurer! He didn't even belong on the stupid Barge!
He tried to spend most of his time in the kitchen, avoiding the hostages (he couldn't really look at them; didn't know who all was taken, really), but after a while, curiosity got the better of him, and he peeked out into the dining hall once again, his stomach turning when he saw that a few more hostages had been added to the ranks in the hour or so since his last check in, and one of them was... Libby?
Whoa.
She looked... drunk, or something. He grabbed a plastic cup and filled it with water, then walked over to the hostages, looking way way way more confident than he felt-- but then, Barney was used to putting on that act.
He plopped down on the ground next to Libby and offered her a friendly smile, hoping to make her (and, by proxy, himself) feel better.
"Can I buy you a drink?" he asked, holding out the cup.
Re: Libby, Barney and later Drusilla (will post in main thread too, as needed)
She eyed the cup in his hands. "Is this going to happen like Jonestown, then?" she asked, attempting to sit up straighter. "I'm surprised West isn't here to see this happen, since he had such a special interest in planning it." She slowly reached out and took the cup from him, looking at the contents. Looked like plain water to her, but who knew?

Rose and West
When she finally pulled herself together and looked up, the first person she saw was familiar.
The face even moreso.
"West?"
Oh god...
"West?" He didn't seem to hear her. "West?"
no subject
He kept his pistol drawn as he turned to face the hostages, but then took one good look and holstered it. For the most part, he didn't care about who'd been dragged there, but Rose was... different. He didn't feel terribly close to her, but she trusted him, and...
Forget it. He's used to shattering the trust of those who looked to him for protection.
He walked over to Rose and knelt down so that he was on eye level with her.
"Rose," he said, keeping his tone neutral. "You're not hurt, are you?"
no subject
"He killed Sam," she managed. "And Prefect."
She looked back to him, her eyes pleading. "West..."

Morgan and Whomever
Her hands were tied together in front of her, but it didn't help her bind anything, even if it was less restricting than having them behind her back.
She had heard her Inmate speaking moments ago, and upon hearing him say that no one would be hurt, she snorted with derision. She was dizzy with pain, but she didn't want to hear him. She didn't want to look at him.
Upon seeing an Inmate passing nearby, she snapped at them. "You. I need to tend to my injuries. Untie my hands."
Morgan and Ethan
"You know," He commented, going down on one knee, "I've found it a wise life lesson to be at least bordering on polite to people with guns."
He reached forward, pulling the fabric back slightly from around her wound, and wincing as he got a better look at it,
"Still, it's clearly done you a lot of good thus far doing things your way. Can you straighten your leg?"

BLY AND WHOEVER
The CSS agent sat a bit to the side, observing the actions of others and feeling pretty miserable.
Bly and Loki
Be afraid Bly. Here comes Loki. Looking very happy, the god practically skipped over to Bly, ridiculos grin on his face. This riot thing was fun! Granted, the actual rioting wasn't fun...just the general feelings of chaos, of trouble and of mischief.
"How are you?" Loki asked, leaning over him. "Not too well, I hope. After all, you're a hostage!" Loki didn't have a gun, probably a wise decision. For a god that was millions of years old, he couldn't shoot worth a damn.
Bly and Loki
A mistake to mention, he realized, as soon as it left his mouth.

Armand and Rose (after West)
Crisis. Damn. Someone should have had an inkling this was going to happen. What had gone wrong?
He wasn't trying to look to closely at his fellow wardens, all prisoners like he was, but one person in particular caught his eye. Rose Tyler. He tried to get her attention without calling to her. This amounted to little more than watching her, hoping she'd turn her head his way and see him.
Re: Armand and Rose (after West)
And for Rose, with affections on both sides, whatever happened would be a tragedy.
After thinking for a bit, she lifted her head to see Armand, bound and on his knees, looking at her.
Bloody hell...
She bit her lip, then mouthed the words you alright?

Rimmer and Barney (Pre-Libby)

And-- BONUS! His stupid Warden was one of the first to get caught.
Oh, he had to gloat.
"Rimmer, old buddy, old pal! My all-powerful warden! Fancy meeting you here," he greeted, a totally smug and triumphant grin plastered on his face.

Prentiss and Rimmer, Post Barney
...wait, was that blood? The hologram's eye went big. "Oh, smeg."
He moved closer towards her inspecting the shoulder as best he could without touching Prentiss (not that he could have had he wanted) and inquired, "Are you alright?"

Morgan and West (After Ethan and Adam)
Inmates talking of killing or imprisoning the dangerous Wardens -- She was dangerous. Mutinies where she came from ended with people set adrift, or left kicking in the water -- Libby: what had the Master done to her? It seemed like every time she was going to hear an explanation something else in the room caught her attention -- Rube.
She was vulnerable, weaponless, and without a plan. She therefore wanted Rube.
Morgan forced her knuckles against her eyes and drew in a long breath through her nose. No. She wasn't going that way. She just had to reason some modicum of control back into her hands.
She finally spoke up. "Major." She raised her voice enough to know she'd be heard; she didn't know if she wanted to speak to him, but she would sooner have words with him than anyone else.

"Yes?" He glanced down at her injury. Good, it had been tended to.

Rose and Charlie
West had left with Armand, promising he would not hurt him, and while Rose believed West, she also feared for the safety of both her friends. There was nothing to be done, though, but do her best to put it out of her mind, reserve her strength, and wait to see what happened.
So she was on her knees, sitting on her heels, curled over her lap, eyes closed.
Rose and Charlie
"So, Girly-- how are you findin' all this?"
He smirked like a weasel.
