Thirty-second Storm
[Tris looks, appropriately, like death warmed over. She's propped on a sofa in Harry's cabin by the time she gets around to making a shipwide announcement.] I'll be scarce for the next week. If anyone needs me, try the cabin I share with Harry. Cabin 1, Level 2.
I wouldn't say no to company or books, and I'll probably need a hand hobbling over to the Enclosure in a couple days.
[Private to Jon, Demona, and Lark]
I got myself killed by our newest arrival. Does anyone have time to take my shifts this week?
[Spam for Fives and Harry]
Tris jolts awake with a soft cry, then raises a hand to her chest, wincing. She knows where she is, and visibly relaxes when she sees both Fives and Harry nearby. She whispers, "Did someone take care of him?"

How do you feel?
Re: [private]
Like I asphyxiated and my lungs are still feeling the ache of it. He tossed me overboard.
I'll be fine. [Death tolls, at least, pass.]

"You're safe. Everyone is, thanks to Fives." He squeezes her hand gently and gives Fives something that resemble a real smile.

"Thank you, cyar'ika," she tells Fives gratefully. She's glad she doesn't need to worry about it, because she doesn't feel up to doing anything at all.
To both of them, she adds, "Sorry. Didn't have any warning before he got me in a submission hold, and then I was over the rail." She shouldn't have gotten so close, but he was smiling. No indication of violent intent beforehand.

How did it happen?

Thrown overboard. Suffocated when I got too far from the Barge.

"It's unlocked," Tris calls, rather than going to let him in. She has magic for self defense on the slim chance any unwanted visitor comes through the door, and she'd just as soon not move.

Thank you, Hux. Actually, would you please bring me some soup from either the dining hall or from my cabin? I don't have any here.
There's some frozen in the coldbox set into my kitchen floor if you decide to get it from there. Fives and Harry both have keys you could borrow.

[It's properly called death toll chicken soup, but she's not going to assume here; there's a lot of reasons someone could be laid up.]
Re: [private; audio]
Yes please. I already asked Hux for a soup delivery, but a second batch wouldn't go amiss. I doubt I'll have anything besides soup for the first couple days of the toll.
Thank you, Tiffany.

Do you need anything else?
Re: private
Company in a couple days when I'm going out of my mind from sitting still?
I never turn down books, either. Thank you, Jon.

I could bring some tea, when you're feeling up for a chat.
Re: [video]
Yes, please. I'll always take tea. You can stop by any time except the middle of the night. I'm not going anywhere.

Tris rolls over with a soft groan and wraps an arm around Harry's waist when she wakes to the smell of tea and toast. "It's only a few steps to the kitchen, you know. I could have managed."
But since it's Harry, she doesn't sound like she minds.
