Call of the City
[Spam for Jedao]
He knocks on Jedao's door, jaw set, hands deep in his pockets. This is the hardest one, so he's doing it first.
[Spam for Credence]

[Spam for Hilda]

I came here a year ago. Feels like no time at all, and like fucking forever. I guess I was asleep for the breach, but it still feels like a long fuckin' time. I've made-- I've done some good stuff. I made a lot of good friends. I've seen amazing things. I've-- [He swallows away a lump and runs a hand over his face, messes up his hair with both hands.]
I thought I was gonna stick around, now that Fraser's gone, but I can't. I gotta go back home, get back to my life there. So I'm gonna-- gonna go back tomorrow. Maybe I'll be back again someday, who knows. But I'm not gonna be someone else who disappears without a word.
Anyone want anything from my cabin, come here at any time. I got a drink waiting for you, too.
Most of you. [He says the last part with a rakish grin, and he thumbs the side of his nose before nodding and signing off. Come say goodbye.]

no subject
"Yeah. Something like that." He shifts on his feet, feeling awkward. "I'm gonna miss you."

He pets the cats, obligingly, then steps forward. "What's up?"

Credence shuts the door behind them; Rune croons softly from his perch.
"...Klaus has disappeared," he says quietly. "So I...I'm going to go home soon."

"At least come in and have coffee before you give me the bad news."
no subject
"You've had coffee all this time and you still made me drink all that tea?"
His voice is softly joking. His heart feels a little broken.
