Vampire slayer. Sometimes get using the whole strength and fighting skills thing. Occasionally the knowledge of demons and other sorts of spooks comes in useful.

I was assistant surgeon and naturalist aboard HMS Erebus, sailing under Sir John Franklin. The former skills have been very useful here; the latter more ... diverting, I suppose.

Oh, definitely. I came 'ere with the ability to take whatever weird crap's 'appening in stride, and that's been a huge help.

That, and quick reactions.

On the other side, I still 'ave to remind myself that problems are allowed to be someone else's. And that it's one thing to taunt a villain in the wild, but on this boat you're 'ere to be on their side. I mean, I love that bit, honestly, but I did 'ave a hard time at first.
