[ooc: Spoilers for Captain America: The First Avenger; Captain America: The Winter Soldier; and Captain America: Civil War.]
Steve's communicator doesn't seem to glitch out until a few days into the flood; it also seems to keep the same hours he does, usually airing videos late at night or early in the morning.
Despite that, he doesn't change them to private, even when he thinks no one has seen them. Even when he wants to. He figures his life hasn't been private for a long time, and there's no point in changing that now. He's not ashamed of anything he's done, even if it's a little hard to watch some of them and realize he's forgotten details over the past year, without the serum and the eidetic memory it gives him. It doesn't matter, though - everything's there in vivid detail, now.
Steve does his best not to change what routine he has; he meets Tris at the Enclosure, he eats at the same times, he does laundry regularly (his and Buck's - he's trying to be a good houseguest) and sometimes wanders through the library. He's still staying in Bucky's cabin, even since he woke up, although he hasn't actually told anyone he's doing it - so the only noticeable change there is that he's not in the inmate showers much, these days.
Grenade: The first video is from before the serum; it's mercifully short and consists mainly of a ninety-pound Steve throwing himself on a grenade, because that's just what he does.
The Plane: The second is longer - as long as it takes for him to put a plane into icy water.
Waking Up: The third seems like it must take place shortly after the second, as he wakes up in a recovery room - but it's not what it seems.
This Isn't Freedom: And in the next, he's clearly tried to settle into a future that believes in pre-emptive strikes. It doesn't sit well with him
Helicarrier Fight: The next seems split into two parts: It starts with him facing down someone he doesn't want to fight, and ends when he refuses to do just that.
The Sokovia Accords: There's a clear timeskip, after that - there's now a team, and an argument about regulations, at least until the whole thing ends abruptly when he gets a text.
The Helicopter: If you only catch one clip, it should be this one - sure, there's plenty of fighting to start out, but if you tune in toward the end, there's a pretty nice reminder that if you think you can escape a super soldier in a helicopter... well, you just can't.
Iron Man vs. Captain America: The intermittent clips from his communicator finally end in one last fight and when he and Bucky walk away, he doesn't look back.

Now, after watching all of the memories -- all of them, even the last ones -- he waits patiently for Steve to return from dinner. Very patiently, so Libby won't tear a strip off him for being snarly.
But once his trouble-magnet of a best friend comes back: ]
Tell me about the plane.
[ conversationally, like he hasn't been alternating between fury and sorrow. ]
Re: Spam
[Steve, for all that he should not be, is nonetheless caught off guard. He knows Bucky must have seen... well, everything, sure, but he also figured he was at least familiar enough with it that maybe he might not ask. But then, after a heartbeat or two, he's got to admit, he's not really that surprised, after all.
He's still not ashamed. But that doesn't mean part of him can't wish Bucky hadn't had to see that.]
Uh, [he says, coming the rest of the way in the door and shutting it behind himself.] It had wings?
[Yeah, being cute isn't going to get him anywhere, so he lets out a breath and goes on.]
And bombs. And it had to go down.

[ His voice is quiet. And level. So level you could build a house on it. It's also clear there's more he wants to say, but the way Bucky is just watching Steve might give the impression that he's choosing words carefully.
So, so carefully. ]
How long after I fell did this. Happen?

[Look, she wants to just yell DAMN STEVE over the stopping the helicopter because damn, she's pretty sure she couldn't do that BUT ... she's a good friend and gets that talking about this stuff might not be a big want]
Re: [private] [video]
[Steve actually laughs a little, but -] I guess I wouldn't turn that down, if you're offering.
[The least he could do is take her up on it, after seeing hers.]

"So you really tried to sacrifice yourself by jumping on a rock, huh?" He says, leaning against the bookshelves just across from Steve.

Steve glances up, but he kind of shrugs, admitting, "Seemed to make the most sense." Not that he'd actually thought about it at the time. He'd just done it. "Probably good it didn't go off. Peggy would've had to clean me off her face, what a way to make an impression on a girl."

Don't worry about it. Most of my life hasn't been private for a long time.
Although I'm kinda sorry if we have a lot in common.
[private]
I mean, not that you've had a rough time. Of course no one wishes that on anyone else. But to see that you aren't the only one who has dealt with certain things... that the people around you might be able to understand, that you're not actually the only one...
That sounds kind of arrogant, doesn't it? I don't want to put myself in some sort of special category. But I think I was in danger of being put there by others.

Spam - Laundry - Sokovia Accords
Coming into the laundry, Steve smiles at Rogers as he starts filling his machine. ]
I'm not sure if I like this more or less than when we had to deal with the candy hearts sharing memories...
Spam - Laundry - Sokovia Accords
He does glance up and smile back, when the other comes into the laundry room. If anything, he maybe looks just a little better rested than usual.]
Oh, geez - that one was bad, too, wasn't it? There was one time people were dreaming other people's memories, might as well throw that into the mix for the prize, too.

his communicator may have shown her a thing or two, but hers privately responded with a few things of her own. she's decided not to reply and instead thought they could speak in person, should they ever cross paths again. now that they have... she's finding it difficult to know where to start. ]
I haven't figured out which is more difficult, [ she begins as he passes, as though she could be speaking to anyone nearby, ] knowing your memories are on display without your consent or figuring out how to address them.

Yeah, part of him is still and might always be sore at Helen for what she did. But... some things have changed, and he knows that ultimately he can't blame her for what she did. Things might still be a little awkward, but it doesn't mean he doesn't care about her. It's a lot like his relationship with Tris - he's tried to pull away, and even to push, but the other party won't let him, and by now, he's at least a little resigned. Maybe that's a bad sign, but it is what it is, right now.]
Given that just about nothing happens here with our consent, [he points out softly, but sounding almost a little wry, even maybe, maybe a little teasing,] it's generally been the latter.
[He knows what her communicator sent him. He saw it, and he can't pretend he didn't, but... she's right. He doesn't know for sure how to address it yet.] None of my life is a secret, though, [he admits, softening a little.] I realize that's not the case with most other people.
